Feb 2, 2012

Buoyantly, I have stroked your ego
only to service a sporadic growth
and what I found but a loathing soul
emotionally detached, losing control

It was difficult to stash like the bold sun
watching my flame follow you as you run
it rattled those nerves, disturbed the grave
to engage in idolatry without being unscathed

Yesterday vanquished, my scrutiny of tomorrow
may one day your loins ache in depth's sorrow
then our feelings shall covet like mutual dreams
when respect shall affect and be as it seems

Until then I rest my position,  kindly as I can
for I am a common woman; you are a wavering man
still, don't dismiss me as your drip of crushed ice
when love perseveres and I wouldn't think twice
