Black Forest

There, I mistook myself upon beastly mile
Housed in a black forest, clutching a smile
Tasting a brew of malt vinegar drink
A cool slumber for a sinister wink

Sitting in the presence of somber drums
Boldly, I hastened to silent charms
Withered thoughts sat upon my head
Shaking like shadows that dare enter in

So then, I beckon him to venture with me
to become as shallow as the sullen sea
And his beastly plate I would caress
And my cold smile I would profess

He stared at the stars with a loud rift
As he quietly disrobed his beastly gift
I saw not the black forest among the trees
For he was too honest, too gentle and meek
